We are seeking a Sales Executive / Business Development Executive with substantial experience in chemical raw material sales and a strong understanding of the ink, paint, coatings, and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing industrial B2B customers. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying market trends, preparing quotations, and ensuring smooth coordination between customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell chemical raw materials such as solvents, resins, intermediates, and related products to industrial clients.
- Develop new business opportunities across chemical, paint, ink, coatings, packaging, printing, and allied industries.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new accounts.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Prepare quotations, pricing, and costing accurately and timely.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to stay ahead in the industry.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.
- Follow up on customer payments and assist with debt recovery and collection efforts when necessary.
- Conduct market research to identify new products, industries, and business opportunities.
- Travel within Karachi and as required for customer visits.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical raw material sales, preferably within the ink, paint, coatings, or solvents sectors.
- Strong knowledge of solvents such as IPA, alcohols, and related chemicals.
- Experience in both B2B and B2C industrial sales environments.
- Excellent sales, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to acquire new customers and retain existing clients effectively.
- Competence in handling customer follow-ups and payment recovery processes.
- Good technical understanding of chemical products, industry dynamics, and market requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales software tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently under pressure.
- Presentable, confident, and positive in approach.
