Salesman

Horti Club is dedicated to transforming spaces with vibrant plants, expert garden care, and outstanding customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Salesman / Retail Sales Specialist to join our nursery team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, assisting both plant enthusiasts and beginners in selecting the right plants, pots, and gardening supplies for their homes and projects. Your passion for plants and customer service will help create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and drives sales.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Consultation & Sales: Greet customers warmly as they enter the nursery, ensuring a friendly and helpful shopping experience. Offer expert advice on plant selection, care requirements including light, water, and soil needs, as well as pest management and landscaping ideas. Understand customer needs to recommend complementary products such as fertilizers, pots, and soil, while introducing new arrivals to boost sales. Accurately and efficiently process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Plant Care & Nursery Maintenance: Maintain plant health through regular watering, pruning, fertilizing, and monitoring for pests or diseases. Arrange merchandise displays creatively to highlight seasonal plants, indoor greenery, and garden accessories in an attractive and organized manner. Restock inventory from the greenhouse or delivery trucks, ensuring all plants are properly labeled, priced, and neatly arranged. Keep the sales floor, walkways, and display areas clean and safe to provide a pleasant environment for customers.

Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of indoor plants, outdoor shrubs, perennials, and general gardening techniques is essential. Formal horticultural training is a significant advantage but not mandatory. Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles with excellent communication skills is required. Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift up to 40–50 lbs (such as soil bags or large potted plants) is necessary. A reliable team player with a positive attitude who is available to work weekends and during peak seasonal holidays.

Intermediate education is preferred. Horti Club offers a competitive monthly salary of up to Rs50,000, along with sales performance incentives.
