SAP Business One Integration Engineer

You will take full ownership of the SAP Business One connector, managing it end to end. This includes developing a generic connector interface that will serve as the foundation for all future integrations, as well as building the SAP Business One Service Layer connector itself. From day one, you will have direct administrative access to a live SAP B1 test company environment, enabling you to begin hands-on development without delays related to sandbox access.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a generic connector interface (Connector SDK) that future system integrations will implement. This includes creating a contract-test kit and a mock implementation to support development and testing.
- Build the SAP Business One connector using the Service Layer (OData v3), compatible with the current SAP B1 version 9.3. This work will cover both read operations and narrowly scoped write operations.
- Implement OAuth 2.0 and service-account authentication mechanisms, ensuring secure and reliable access. Develop idempotent, retry-safe request handling to maintain robustness in API interactions.
- Work directly with Voyage’s SAP B1 test company database throughout the development process, allowing for real-time testing and validation.
- Plan and prepare for an upgrade path to OData v4 as the organization transitions to a newer SAP B1 version.

Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience integrating specifically with SAP Business One, including working with OData v3 and/or v4, the Service Layer, and HANA as the underlying database. General ERP integration experience alone will not suffice for this role.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with OAuth 2.0 and service-account authentication patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to design idempotent and retry-safe API integrations, ensuring reliability and consistency in data exchange.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing SAP B1 add-ons or working with the DI API.
- Prior involvement in integrating SAP Business One with external platforms, beyond internal SAP customization projects.
