SAP Business One Techno-Functional Lead

We are a dynamic multi-brand restaurant group operating Sumo, Mandarin Kitchen, and Café Brie across Pakistan, seeking an experienced SAP Business One Techno-Functional Lead based in Lahore. This full-time, on-site role requires a hands-on developer to take full ownership of our ERP environment. The ideal candidate will focus on developing integrations, automating business processes, and managing various business software systems. This position is technical and development-oriented, distinct from traditional IT support or ERP coordination roles.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Business One Development:
Develop SAP HANA SQL queries, stored procedures, custom reports, and dashboards. Build and maintain SAP Business One integrations using Service Layer, DI API, SDK, and relevant programming frameworks. Create automated workflows for production BOMs, semi-finished goods, inventory movements, and food-cost reporting. Automate repetitive transactions to enhance operational efficiency across multiple restaurant locations. Manage four SAP Business One company databases along with their respective restaurant warehouses. Develop reports for inventory reconciliation, production yield, and theoretical versus actual consumption. Maintain and improve existing SAP customizations and integrations.

Software Integrations:
Maintain and enhance POS-to-SAP data integration. Develop APIs and automated data exchanges between SAP, POS, HRMS, and other applications. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, failed transactions, and integration errors. Create automated alerts, scheduled reports, and exception dashboards to support business operations.

Business Systems Ownership:
Take full ownership of the technical administration of SAP, POS, HRMS, and other enterprise applications. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and HR teams to understand requirements and improve processes. Coordinate with external software vendors and implementation partners. Maintain system documentation, testing procedures, backups, and enforce appropriate access controls. Oversee IT infrastructure and technical support through internal staff or external service providers.

Required Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience in SAP Business One development is essential. Strong skills in SAP HANA SQL and SQLScript are required. Experience with SAP Business One Service Layer and/or DI API for transaction processing is necessary. Proficiency in programming languages such as C#/.NET or other suitable backend languages is expected. Working knowledge of SAP Business One production BOMs, inventory, purchasing, and financial transactions is important. Experience in developing reports and custom queries is required. A solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and system integrations is essential. Experience in testing and deploying solutions within SAP Business One environments is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with SAP Business One SDK and add-on development is preferred. Familiarity with Crystal Reports and Power BI is advantageous. Knowledge of POS or retail ERP integrations is a plus. Experience working in multi-company and multi-warehouse SAP environments is beneficial. Background in manufacturing, food processing, hospitality, or distribution ERP systems is desirable. Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity will be helpful.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will be expected to understand and document existing SAP and POS integrations, build and demonstrate a working automation pilot for semi-finished goods production in a test environment, develop useful inventory and food-cost exception reports, identify opportunities to reduce manual SAP processing, and establish a clear roadmap for integration and automation across the group. We seek a proactive individual capable of independently building practical solutions rather than merely communicating requirements to external developers.
