SAP Business One Techno-Functional Lead

We are a dynamic multi-brand restaurant group operating well-known outlets such as Sumo, Mandarin Kitchen, and Café Brie across Pakistan. We are currently seeking a hands-on SAP Business One developer to take full ownership of our ERP environment. This role focuses on developing integrations, automating business processes, and gradually managing other business software systems. It is a highly technical and development-oriented position, distinct from traditional IT support or ERP coordination roles.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop SAP HANA SQL queries, stored procedures, custom reports, and dashboards to support business operations.
- Build and maintain SAP Business One integrations using Service Layer, DI API, SDK, and relevant programming frameworks.
- Create automated workflows for production Bills of Materials (BOMs), semi-finished goods, inventory movements, and food-cost reporting.
- Automate repetitive transactions to enhance operational efficiency across multiple restaurant locations.
- Manage four SAP Business One company databases along with their respective restaurant warehouses.
- Develop inventory reconciliation reports, production yield analyses, and theoretical-versus-actual consumption reports.
- Maintain and improve existing SAP customizations and integrations to ensure optimal system performance.
- Oversee POS-to-SAP data integration and develop APIs for automated data exchange between SAP, POS, HRMS, and other applications.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, failed transactions, and integration errors promptly.
- Develop automated alerts, scheduled reports, and exception dashboards to support business monitoring.
- Take ownership of the technical administration of SAP, POS, HRMS, and other enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and HR teams to understand requirements and improve business processes.
- Coordinate with external software vendors and implementation partners to ensure smooth system operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, testing procedures, backups, and system access controls.
- Oversee IT infrastructure and technical support through internal teams or external service providers.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience in SAP Business One development.
- Strong proficiency in SAP HANA SQL and SQLScript.
- Experience working with SAP Business One Service Layer and/or DI API for transaction processing.
- Programming skills in C#/.NET or another suitable backend language.
- Solid understanding of SAP Business One production BOMs, inventory management, purchasing, and financial transactions.
- Experience in developing custom reports and queries.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods, and system integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to test and deploy solutions within SAP Business One environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP Business One SDK and add-on development.
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Power BI for advanced reporting.
- Background in POS or retail ERP integrations.
- Experience working in multi-company and multi-warehouse SAP environments.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, food processing, hospitality, or distribution ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity principles.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate will be expected to:

- Understand and document existing SAP and POS integrations thoroughly.
- Build and demonstrate a working automation pilot for semi-finished goods production in a test environment.
- Develop practical inventory and food-cost exception reports.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processing within SAP.
- Establish a clear roadmap for integration and automation initiatives across the restaurant group.

We are looking for a proactive individual capable of independently building practical solutions rather than simply relaying requirements to external developers.
