SAP Consultant

Mavericks United is seeking a motivated and skilled SAP Consultant to join our consulting and delivery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of SAP functional and technical expertise, coupled with excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. This role involves taking full ownership of assigned projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, and driving SAP solutions from initial requirements through implementation, stabilization, and ongoing improvement. The position is based onsite at Green Forts 2, Lahore, with working hours from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary SAP contact for clients, gaining a deep understanding of their business goals, challenges, and system requirements.
- Lead or support SAP project delivery across all phases, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, configuration coordination, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Facilitate client workshops and requirements sessions, translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Manage assigned project workstreams, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and documentation are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with business users, client stakeholders, SAP teams, developers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, standardization, and enhanced SAP utilization.
- Support solution design to ensure SAP implementations align with business processes and project scope.
- Coordinate testing activities, including test case preparation, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, issue resolution, and obtaining business sign-off.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, keeping all stakeholders informed.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive functional specifications, process documentation, user guides, and status reports.
- Provide knowledge transfer, user support, and post-implementation assistance to ensure successful adoption of SAP solutions.
- Maintain professional client relationships, representing Mavericks United with ownership, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Communicate confidently with clients at both business and operational levels, building long-term productive relationships.
- Demonstrate strong presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Explain complex SAP concepts in clear, business-friendly language and manage client expectations effectively.
- Take full ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, adhering to project plans, scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and ensure timely follow-through on actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of consulting methodologies, templates, and delivery processes.

Required Qualifications

- Professional experience working with SAP in consulting, implementation, support, or business transformation roles.
- Solid understanding of SAP processes with the ability to align SAP capabilities to business requirements.
- Hands-on experience in one or more SAP modules; candidates should clearly specify their SAP expertise.
- Proven experience working directly with clients, business users, and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, or support environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership within a deadline-driven consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or involvement in modern SAP transformation projects.
- Familiarity with end-to-end implementation methodologies and project governance.
- Experience preparing business process documentation, functional specs, test scripts, and training materials.
- Understanding of SAP integration points with other enterprise applications.
- Experience working with international clients or distributed teams.
- Relevant SAP certifications or formal SAP training are advantageous.
