SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream

We are seeking an experienced Custom Software Engineer to develop tailored software solutions that enhance various system components within the Oil & Gas Downstream sector. The role involves designing, coding, and improving software applications using modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions aligned with specific business needs. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, actively participate in iterative development cycles, and continuously refine software performance to meet evolving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the team to achieve project objectives.
- Take ownership of team decisions and guide collaborative efforts across multiple teams.
- Provide effective solutions to technical challenges within the immediate team and in broader cross-team contexts.
- Lead initiatives to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior engineers to foster their professional development and ensure smooth integration into project workflows.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 7.5 years of professional experience working with SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream.
- Strong proficiency in SAP systems tailored to the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing custom software components using modern programming frameworks.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise software integration techniques and relevant tools.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and optimizing software performance in production environments.
- Educational background comprising 15 years of full-time education.
