As a Senior Consultant or Assistant Manager within the PPG team, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex audit procedures across various industries. Your expertise will support compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and the firm’s quality management standards, ensuring audit engagements are conducted with the highest levels of transparency, clarity, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for performing engagement acceptance and continuance procedures through the PACE process, reviewing potential audit engagements to ensure compliance with ISAs, regulatory requirements, and firm policies. This includes evaluating client integrity, financial standing, and risk profiles while considering auditor independence and potential conflicts of interest. Collaboration with audit teams and stakeholders is essential to assess client information completeness, identify risks, and address concerns before engagement approval.
In addition, you will conduct ad hoc spot reviews of audit files and engagement documentation to verify adherence to auditing standards, internal methodologies, and regulatory frameworks. Identifying quality and compliance gaps, assessing audit risk areas, and providing constructive feedback to engagement teams will be key aspects of your role. You will also offer technical guidance on auditing standards, methodology, and quality requirements, ensuring audit documentation is accurate and complete.
Supporting the firm’s Quality Management System under ISQM 1 is another critical responsibility. You will assist in implementing, monitoring, and enhancing quality management controls, ensuring compliance with quality objectives, supporting remediation efforts, and fostering a strong quality culture within the audit practice.
Required Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification
- Experience as a Senior Consultant or Assistant Manager within an international audit firm
- In-depth understanding of risk-based auditing, risk and control strategies
- Knowledge of IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures
- Strong project management, coaching, supervisory, and counseling skills
