Script Writer

MotionCode, a rapidly growing digital marketing and video production agency based in Lahore, is seeking a Meta Ads Script Writer to join their onsite creative team. Specializing in AI-generated UGC video ads, Meta ads management, and performance-driven creative, MotionCode partners with brands across Australia and beyond. The ideal candidate will craft compelling scripts that transform products, offers, and customer pain points into high-converting paid social video ads, focusing on grabbing attention within the first few seconds and driving action.

Key Responsibilities
- Write engaging and high-converting video ad scripts for Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) across various formats including UGC style, talking head, testimonial, problem-solution, and storytelling.
- Develop multiple hooks, angles, and script variations for each concept to enable rapid testing and scaling of winning ads.
- Analyze winning ads from the Meta Ad Library and competitor accounts to understand why they succeed, then adapt these insights for client campaigns.
- Apply consumer psychology principles such as pain points, desire, social proof, curiosity, urgency, objection handling, identity, and emotional triggers in scriptwriting.
- Conduct thorough research on target audiences using reviews, Reddit threads, forums, and other sources to incorporate authentic customer language.
- Write scripts suitable for AI-generated UGC avatars and human creators, ensuring a natural, conversational tone.
- Collaborate with media buyers and editors to review ad performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and refine scripts based on data-driven insights.
- Create detailed creative briefs and testing roadmaps tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain an organized swipe file and script library featuring proven frameworks, hooks, and angles.
- Consistently deliver quality scripts on a weekly basis while meeting client deadlines.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience writing scripts or copy for paid social ads, preferably Meta, within agency, ecommerce, or direct response settings.
- A portfolio demonstrating successful scripts with evidence of ad performance.
- Strong understanding of direct response copywriting and persuasion frameworks such as AIDA, PAS, hooks, storytelling, offers, and the “big idea” approach.
- Deep knowledge of buyer psychology with the ability to articulate why a script works beyond just its content.
- Ability to write in a natural, conversational voice that feels authentic on camera.
- Exceptional hook-writing skills, recognizing the critical importance of the first three seconds.
- Comfortable interpreting ad metrics and using data to inform creative decisions.
- Excellent written English and clear communication skills.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and the Meta Ad Library.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple clients across diverse niches.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for research and ideation is a plus.

The position offers a monthly salary of PKR 120,000 and is based onsite at the Johar Town office in Lahore.
