Key Responsibilities

As a trained Scrum Master, you will facilitate and support a Scrum team to ensure the successful delivery of sprint goals. You will be accountable for removing impediments that hinder the team’s progress and ensuring the Scrum framework is properly implemented. Your role involves protecting the development team from external disruptions, fostering self-management, and promoting collaboration within and across teams.

You will be responsible for meeting sprint objectives alongside the Scrum team and ensuring sprint commitments are fulfilled. Supporting the Product Owner (PO) is critical, including helping them adopt Scrum processes effectively, maintaining the product backlog, and defining user stories and acceptance criteria. You will facilitate key Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Definition of Ready (DOR), Definition of Done (DOD), and acceptance criteria.

Managing Scrum artifacts and ensuring daily updates to Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, whether client-specific or Wipro’s, will be part of your duties. You will track and analyze Scrum metrics, taking corrective actions as needed, and update internal tools with sprint data. Developing competency improvement and cross-skilling plans for the team is essential, with a goal of achieving stable velocity within 6-8 sprints and ensuring at least 50% of the team is multi-skilled.

You will also train the team on Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban, and support the adoption of engineering practices including ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and refactoring. Participation in Scrum of Scrums meetings, community of practice initiatives, and providing performance feedback to Agile leadership are important aspects of the role. Additionally, you will contribute to internal quality forums and own the implementation of retrospective action items.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience of 5-8 years in Agile Scrum delivery.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and manage Scrum artifacts effectively.
- Experience in coaching teams and Product Owners on Agile best practices.
- Skilled in identifying and resolving impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution.
- Familiarity with Agile engineering practices such as ATDD, TDD, CI/CD.
- Competence in using ALM tools and analyzing Scrum metrics for continuous improvement.
