NorthBay Solutions, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner with teams across the US, Canada, UAE, India, and Pakistan, is seeking an experienced SecOps Security Engineer (L3) to join their 24x7 Security Operations environment. This role focuses on managing and supporting enterprise security technologies, including Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in firewalls, web security, endpoint protection, VPNs, and security operations processes, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and respond effectively to security incidents in large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewall platforms.
- Implement, review, and maintain firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), NAT, and other security rules.
- Administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and proxy security solutions.
- Support endpoint security platforms, including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and antivirus software.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely remediation.
- Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and operational events to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist with audit, compliance, and governance activities related to security operations.
- Execute security hardening procedures and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational reports.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and readiness exercises to ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Security Operations, preferably supporting enterprise-scale environments.
- Proficiency with Check Point, Palo Alto, or Fortinet firewall technologies.
- Experience with WAF and IPS solutions.
- Skilled in VPN and MFA administration.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security tools such as EDR, DLP, and antivirus platforms.
- Expertise in security incident investigation and response.
- Ability to conduct firewall rule reviews and security audits.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management processes.
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, including incident, change, and problem management.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Industry certifications such as Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Certified Security Expert (CCSE), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Expert (PCNSE), Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), and CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Additional cybersecurity certifications will be considered a plus.
