Senior 2D Artist

We are seeking a talented Senior 2D Artist with extensive experience in mobile game art and a strong grasp of visual design principles, composition, and production workflows. The ideal candidate will be skilled at creating polished, engaging, and game-ready artwork while ensuring consistency across various assets and visual styles. This role involves close collaboration with Game Designers, Developers, and fellow Artists to bring game concepts to life and maintain high-quality visual standards throughout the development of mobile games. The position is full-time and based onsite in Gulberg 3, Lahore.

Key Responsibilities

- Create polished 2D characters, environments, props, UI assets, icons, and other game-ready artwork tailored for mobile platforms.
- Maintain a consistent art style, visual quality, readability, and composition across different mobile screen sizes.
- Translate game concepts and design requirements into visually appealing, production-ready assets.
- Collaborate closely with Game Designers, Developers, and other Artists to ensure assets meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Organize, optimize, and prepare artwork for seamless integration into the game engine.
- Review artwork and provide constructive feedback to uphold quality and consistency across the team.
- Mentor and guide junior artists, supporting their artistic growth and production skills.
- Manage priorities effectively to deliver high-quality work within established production timelines.
- Adapt artwork based on feedback while maintaining the overall visual direction and integrity of the game.
- Explore and incorporate AI-assisted workflows to enhance concept development, asset variations, and production efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and a solid understanding of digital art fundamentals.
- Deep knowledge of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, anatomy, and visual storytelling.
- Proven experience creating 2D artwork specifically for mobile games.
- A strong portfolio showcasing polished mobile game artwork and production experience.
- Good understanding of mobile game art requirements, including visual readability across various screen sizes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior artists’ work is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Strong understanding of AI-assisted art workflows for concept development and production.
- Ability to write effective prompts and use reference-guided generation for concepts and asset variations.
- Experience with inpainting, background extension, selective editing, and image upscaling techniques.
- Skill in manually correcting and refining AI-generated outputs while preserving approved proportions, anatomy, composition, and art style.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Photoshop/Firefly, or similar platforms.
- Experience with ComfyUI is a plus.
- Ability to combine AI-generated outputs with traditional digital art skills to produce polished, production-ready assets.
