Meds Nexus is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team full-time on-site in Rawalpindi. This role operates during the evening and night shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in US medical billing and accounts receivable management, ready to take on advanced responsibilities such as handling complex claims, managing denials, leading insurance appeals, and ensuring efficient cash flow for US-based clients. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire Accounts Receivable cycle, focusing on high-value, aged, or complex unpaid claims with advanced follow-up techniques.
- Review patient claims thoroughly for accuracy, coding compliance, and completeness before submission to reduce billing errors.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, and complex denials effectively.
- Prepare and submit Level 1 and Level 2 insurance appeals, supported by detailed clinical and billing documentation.
- Verify insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to detect underpayments.
- Handle secondary and tertiary insurance billing processes and respond to escalated inquiries from patients and insurance representatives.
- Generate detailed daily and weekly Accounts Receivable trend analyses, research summaries, and management reports using MS Excel.
- Mentor junior staff, assist with escalations on the floor, and maintain clear communication with team leads and managers.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of proven experience in US medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, and appeals.
- Advanced proficiency with major EHR and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and payer portals.
- Strong technical skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, data sorting, and reporting formulas, along with familiarity with web faxing tools and fast typing speed.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, and prior authorization workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
