Senior Accountant (CPA)

Mindwhiz is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Wapda Town, Lahore. This on-site role involves managing core accounting functions, financial reporting, compliance, and audit coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory adherence, and effective support to senior management. The working hours for this position are from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Local GAAP, and US GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits efficiently.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely statutory compliance.
- Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital management.
- Identify process improvements and implement robust financial controls.
- Support management with MIS reports and provide strategic financial insights.

Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) and ACCA qualification or finalist status is mandatory.
- CFA or CPA qualification or finalist status will be considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in audit handling and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Local GAAP, and US GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage 500.
- Good understanding of taxation and financial regulations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- CFA qualification or finalist status is highly preferred.
- Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exposure to ERP implementations or upgrades.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of multi-country accounting standards and MIS reporting.
