Global Logistics Japan, a leading international logistics company specializing in vehicle and auto parts export from Pakistan, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join its Karachi office. Operating within the freight forwarding and logistics industry, the company offers customs clearance and transportation services across Japan. This role is ideal for a reliable, career-oriented professional with strong accounting expertise and relevant industry experience. The position follows a morning shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, based at the head office on I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) records.
- Prepare bank and ledger reconciliations regularly.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle final accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Ensure proper bookkeeping and maintain comprehensive accounting records.
- Monitor cash flow and control expenses effectively.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and senior management.
- Prepare management reports to support financial decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Accountant within Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or Logistics companies.
- Proven experience in final accounts and taxation is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

- Salary range between PKR 60,000 and PKR 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
