This role involves overseeing client portfolios and supervising bookkeeping teams to ensure compliance with trust accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee bookkeeping and trust accounting for multiple property management clients, including short-term and long-term rentals.
- Review and finalize reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports prepared by junior and mid-level bookkeepers.
- Manage complex transactions, resolve account discrepancies, and handle accruals and adjustments.
- Lead client communications by addressing reporting requirements, responding to queries, and managing escalations.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior bookkeepers, providing constructive feedback and training to enhance team performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with U.S. GAAP, trust accounting regulations, and client contractual obligations.
- Drive continuous process improvements by developing standard operating procedures and supporting system integrations such as QuickBooks Online, Get Clearing, and VR Platform.
- Deliver advanced financial insights and customized reporting to clients to support their decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to scale operations and implement workflow automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- ACCA Qualified, CA Qualified, or finalists in these certifications are strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in trust accounting and familiarity with U.S. property management accounting practices.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and practical experience with U.S. payment processing, expense management, and document processing software.
- Strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and proven experience in managing client relationships effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple client portfolios simultaneously while delivering accurate and timely results under tight deadlines.
