Our client, Afaq Projects and Consultancy, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong ERP expertise to join their team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience and be proficient in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledgers, preparing payment vouchers, and ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in preserving the financial integrity of the organization by carefully handling customer, vendor, and expense ledgers.
This position requires managing daily cashbook updates, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring timely payments, all while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Although there are no direct team leadership responsibilities, the role demands close collaboration with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and support periodic audits. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update ledgers for customers, vendors, and company expenses to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and manage daily cashbooks and bank ledgers to record all financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare payment vouchers in accordance with company policies and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor due payments, follow up proactively to avoid delays, and manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
- Utilize ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to record, track, and generate comprehensive financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all accounting records and financial data.
- Support the finance department during periodic audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect financial data, clarify inconsistencies, and improve accounting accuracy.
