Senior Accounting Manager, US Construction & Multi-Client (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to lead accounting and reporting activities for a portfolio of US-based clients, primarily in the construction industry. This fully remote position involves managing multiple client engagements simultaneously while guiding a team of accountants. Initially, you will handle all client work personally to develop a deep understanding of our processes, standards, and client expectations. Once consistent quality is demonstrated, you will take full ownership of client accounts and team leadership duties. The role requires working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the entire accounting cycle for several US clients, including bookkeeping review, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Apply construction accounting principles such as job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition accurately. Review revenue recognition in line with contract terms, identify any discrepancies, and recommend corrective measures. Prepare and review recurring reporting workbooks, journal entries, and client deliverables. Ensure bank and credit card accounts are reconciled thoroughly, with balance sheets fully reconciled before final approval. Lead, train, and review the work of team members once assigned. Prioritize tasks, monitor open items, and manage deadlines across all clients. Maintain clear communication with internal leadership and clients regarding project status, challenges, and solutions. Continuously improve processes, checklists, and documentation to ensure consistency within the team.

Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience working with US clients is essential. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. A strong background in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion methods, is necessary. Experience in public accounting is expected. Candidates should hold ACCA, CMA, or CA qualifications or be at finalist status. The ability to work the specified hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday) is mandatory. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Proven capability to manage multiple clients simultaneously and experience leading or reviewing the work of other accountants are important. Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, structured workbooks, and data validation, are essential. Strong self-review habits with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines for yourself and your team are critical.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus. Familiarity with construction software such as JobTread, Procore, or Buildertrend is advantageous. Exposure to payroll, sales tax, or Quality of Earnings (QoE) engagements is beneficial. We prioritize accuracy over speed, ownership and accountability, clear communication, consistency, discipline, and a strong willingness to learn and improve quickly. The role offers competitive monthly compensation ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs300,000.
