Meds IT Nexus is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable (A/R) Executive with expertise in US medical billing to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role involves managing complex claims, handling high-priority denials, leading insurance appeals, and ensuring steady cash flow for our US healthcare clients. The position requires working evening to night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, at our Rawalpindi office. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, focusing on advanced follow-ups for high-value, aged, or complicated unpaid claims.
- Review patient claims to ensure accuracy, coding compliance, and completeness before submission, reducing billing rejections.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, and complex claim denials effectively.
- Prepare and submit formal Level 1 and Level 2 insurance appeals, supported by clinical and billing documentation.
- Verify insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to identify underpaid accounts.
- Handle secondary and tertiary insurance billing and respond to escalated inquiries from patients and insurance representatives.
- Generate detailed daily and weekly AR trend analyses, research summaries, and performance reports using MS Excel.
- Mentor junior billing staff, assist with floor escalations, and maintain clear communication with team leads and management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior AR Executive specializing in US medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, and appeals.
- Proficient with major EHR and billing software platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and various payer portals.
- Strong technical skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, data sorting, and reporting formulas; familiarity with web faxing tools and fast typing speed.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems, insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, as well as prior authorization workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, coupled with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
