Senior AI Consultant and Trainer

Gulf Desk Services is launching a new AI consulting practice based in Lahore, Pakistan, serving clients across the UAE and the wider GCC region. This role focuses on helping organizations at the early stages of AI adoption by providing advisory and educational support to build their understanding and confidence in applying AI effectively. You will work directly with client teams to assess business operations, identify opportunities for AI integration, and lead hands-on sessions to drive adoption. As the founding Senior AI Consultant, you will shape the practice’s growth and delivery approach while working closely with clients to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching and Enablement: Lead client-facing education initiatives to promote AI adoption. Design and deliver training sessions and presentations tailored to teams in finance, operations, sales, and administration. Support client staff at all technical levels until they can confidently apply AI solutions independently. Success is measured by sustained adoption after handover.

Client Advisory: Conduct discovery sessions with business owners and department heads to understand current workflows and identify areas where AI can deliver measurable improvements. Provide clear, actionable assessments and recommendations, including advising when AI may not be the appropriate solution.

Solution Demonstration: Develop proof-of-concept AI solutions to demonstrate value and secure client buy-in through working prototypes.

Delivery Oversight: Define project scope and technical requirements, manage and guide engineers responsible for building solutions, and maintain accountability for the final deliverables provided to clients.

AI & Automation Solution Design: Architect AI-powered workflows, intelligent agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, document processing pipelines, and automation frameworks. Utilize technologies such as OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, n8n, Make, Zapier, vector databases, and integrations with CRM, ERP, HRMS, and telephony platforms. Define implementation scope, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.

How the Role Grows: Initially focused on direct coaching and advisory work, the role will expand to include scoping larger engagements, overseeing delivery teams, and participating in hiring as the client base grows.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in AI, intelligent automation, or workflow automation with demonstrable projects you can discuss.
- Strong understanding of business operations and processes, with the ability to analyze workflows and identify where technology adds value.
- Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, and enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, HRMS, or telephony/contact-center platforms.
- Knowledge of RAG systems and vector databases.
- Fluent professional business English, both written and spoken, with the ability to present and lead discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in training, coaching, or client education.
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end with minimal supervision, from problem definition through delivery.
- Based in Lahore or willing to relocate, with working hours overlapping the GCC business day.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience training client teams, mentoring colleagues, or leading cross-functional work without direct reporting lines.
- Exposure to ERP or business systems implementation.
- Prior client-facing consulting experience, especially with SME clients.

This is an in-person role based in Lahore, with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM Pakistan time.
