Senior Analyst – Rules

We are looking for a highly skilled Trade Document Specialist to join our Rules Product Team, based in either Pakistan or India. This role demands strong interpersonal and analytical skills, along with deep expertise in Trade Finance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing incoming Letters of Credit (LCs) and Amendments. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our AI-driven trade document checking platform by translating trade expertise into structured rule logic. This ensures the platform operates with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Collaboration with Product and Technology teams is essential to improve automation and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and teach system clause requirements using the Rule Engine.
- Process daily document volumes accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain adherence to Quality and Turnaround Time (TAT) KPIs in line with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Participate actively in testing cycles by preparing test cases, executing tests, and validating results within the testing environment.
- Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks associated with trade document processing.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new team members, supporting their understanding of domain knowledge and processes.

Required Qualifications

- 4 to 6 years of experience in Trade Transaction Processing.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree such as BBA, B.Com, MBA, or an equivalent qualification.
- CDCS certification or equivalent document checking experience spanning 4 to 6 years.
- Strong understanding of data collection and analysis techniques.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, especially in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Sound knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP (latest edition), and related trade finance standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience in automation or digitization initiatives within trade processing is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cloud Infrastructure concepts will be an advantage.
