Senior Android Developer

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer based in Islamabad to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. This role requires a strong focus on performance, responsiveness, and code quality, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position offers a hybrid remote work arrangement and competitive compensation aligned with experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
- Design, build, and maintain reusable and reliable Java and Kotlin code.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into efficient, high-quality code.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to improve application stability and performance.
- Continuously research and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define and ship new features.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards.
- Develop advanced Android applications and integrate with external data sources and APIs.
- Merge code contributions from junior developers and peers.
- Work closely with backend teams to design APIs and conduct unit testing to ensure robustness, usability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of professional experience in Android development.
- Proven experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning on Android platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of the mobile development lifecycle.
- Published at least one original Android application on the Google Play Store.
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notification services.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, multiple Android versions, and handling different screen sizes.
- Experience with remote data handling via RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP), custom ROMs such as Lineage, and kernel compilation.
- Experience with C, C++, and rooting Android devices.
