Senior AR Executive (US Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Meds IT Nexus is seeking an experienced Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team as a Senior AR Executive. This role is ideal for a professional ready to take on advanced responsibilities in managing complex claims, handling high-priority denials, leading insurance appeals, and ensuring efficient cash flow for our US-based healthcare clients. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drive AR Performance: Manage the entire AR cycle by conducting thorough follow-ups on high-value, aged, and complex unpaid claims to optimize revenue collection.

Denial & Dispute Mastery: Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, and complex claim denials to reduce revenue leakage.

Appeals Management: Prepare, compile, and submit formal Level 1 and Level 2 insurance appeals, supported by comprehensive clinical and billing documentation.

Contract Compliance: Review insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to detect and address underpayments.

Team Leadership: Mentor junior billing associates, manage floor escalations, and collaborate closely with Team Leads and Managers to maintain smooth operations.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in US Medical Billing, AR follow-up, denial management, and insurance appeals.

Software Proficiency: Skilled in major EHR and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, and various payer portals.

Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data reporting, along with strong web research capabilities.

Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as insurance guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

This position requires working on-site at our office located on Murree Road, Rawalpindi, with night shift hours. Candidates should be prepared for the commute and night schedule.
