Meds Nexus is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior AR Specialist with over three years of dedicated experience managing US healthcare receivables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in resolving complex denials, optimizing accounts receivable cycles, and driving effective revenue recovery. This role is best suited for professionals interested in full-time employment and who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

AR Lifecycle Management: Take charge of the proactive follow-up on unpaid, aging, and complex claims, ensuring all activities align with standard billing cycle timeframes to maximize collections.

Denial & Appeal Mastery: Analyze the root causes of claim denials, prepare strategic appeals, and successfully overturn rejections to enhance cash flow and reduce write-offs.

Payment Integrity: Conduct thorough audits of insurance payments to verify contractual compliance, identifying underpayments or discrepancies and resolving these issues directly with payers.

Secondary/Tertiary Billing: Accurately identify and promptly bill secondary and tertiary insurance accounts to ensure timely reimbursement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Team Leads and Managers to report on key metrics, monitor trends, and improve accounts receivable workflows for greater efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of three years of specialized experience as an AR Specialist within a US-based medical billing or revenue cycle management (RCM) environment is essential.

Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in leading electronic health record (EHR) and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks (eCW), Kareo, OfficeAlly, and Practice Fusion. Familiarity with payer portals and strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting are also required.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of US payer guidelines, including Medicare, state Medicaid programs, and commercial insurance protocols, is critical to success in this role.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary, along with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage payer interactions and internal collaboration.

This position is a full-time, in-person role, offering the opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on excellence in healthcare revenue cycle management. Candidates with a proven track record in managing complex AR processes and a commitment to continuous improvement will find this role rewarding.
