The Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing AI models and systems that enhance KamelPay’s financial products and services. This full-time, on-site position is based in Karachi and requires end-to-end ownership of AI solutions, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning and deep learning models tailored to fintech applications.
- Implement pattern recognition and natural language processing (NLP) capabilities to support conversational interfaces, document processing, and language understanding.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams to integrate AI solutions into core fintech workflows.
- Ensure AI systems are scalable, reliable, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of AI architecture and best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain high-quality production-grade code.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, particularly those relevant to payments, risk scoring, fraud detection, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core computer science and software development principles, including data structures, algorithms, system design, and production-level coding.
- Expertise in neural networks and pattern recognition for building and optimizing deep learning architectures and pipelines.
- Proven experience in natural language processing (NLP) for fintech-related applications.
- Proficiency with modern AI/ML frameworks and tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Experience deploying AI models through APIs or microservices in production environments.
- Strong data handling skills, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset suited for fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
