Utopia Brands is seeking a dedicated Senior Associate for its Global Trucking Operations based in Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. This role operates on an evening shift from 6 PM to 3 AM and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in logistics and transportation. The position involves managing and coordinating trucking activities to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing routes, dispatching drivers, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders to support smooth operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers, trucks, and equipment to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Assign loads based on driver availability, route efficiency, and delivery priorities.
- Monitor truck locations and shipment progress using GPS and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Communicate shipment updates to customers, brokers, and carriers, resolving delays and operational issues promptly.
- Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules with the fleet maintenance team.
- Source loads through load boards and broker networks, negotiating freight rates when necessary.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and shipment documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in trucking, dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Solid understanding of dispatch planning, load assignment, and shipment tracking.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), load boards, and freight operations.
- Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Work Environment
The position offers a monthly salary starting from Rs85,000. This is an in-person role requiring presence at the designated Karachi location. The evening shift schedule supports operational needs and provides an opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing logistics team.
