This role involves managing and processing trade operations in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Manuals (OPM), and international guidelines such as UCP, ISBP, and ISP. The incumbent will ensure accurate charge recovery according to current policies while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. The position requires close attention to detail in sanction screening, transaction authorization, and timely communication within the team to uphold service quality and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all processing activities adhere strictly to SOPs, OPMs, and applicable international trade finance rules including UCP, ISBP, and ISP.
- Perform sanction screening on relevant parties involved in trade documents to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and handle Commodity Trade Operations documents efficiently and accurately.
- Authorize and input transactions into the system, ensuring all entries are correct and complete.
- Prepare and authorize relevant SWIFT messages associated with trade transactions.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Head, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness.
- Communicate any errors or knowledge gaps promptly to the line manager or team to resolve customer service issues effectively.
- Ensure there is no revenue leakage by accurately collecting all applicable charges.
- Maintain up-to-date reconciliations with no outstanding entries pending in Nostro or internal accounts.

Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding of trade finance operations, including familiarity with UCP, ISBP, ISP, and sanction screening processes.
- Experience in handling Commodity Trade Operations and related documentation.
- Proficiency in transaction processing and SWIFT message preparation.
- Attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with management.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address operational gaps or errors.
