The Senior AutoCAD Designer position is based in Lahore, Pakistan, and requires an experienced professional with 3 to 5 years of expertise in construction and steel fabrication design. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this full-time, on-site role involves creating precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, fabrication designs, and models for international projects. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or a related field) and possess strong AutoCAD 3D skills along with a solid understanding of construction and fabrication standards. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication across project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for both custom and standard access systems.
- Develop detailed fabrication drawings that ensure material and structural accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, and architects to maintain project alignment.
- Manage projects through all design phases, including client communication and coordination.
- Conduct site surveys and interpret architectural and structural drawings effectively.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, design, and fabrication standards.
- Mentor and guide junior draughtsmen and estimators to support team development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven design experience specifically in construction or steel fabrication.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD 3D or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and installation methods.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities to oversee design phases and client interactions.
This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 230,000 to 300,000, reflecting the candidate’s experience and expertise.
