We are looking for a seasoned Senior Azure Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365 services. This role plays a vital part in advancing cloud transformation initiatives while maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient IT operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Azure cloud services, Microsoft 365, enterprise security, identity management, and endpoint management. This full-time onsite position is based in Gulberg 3, Lahore, and requires a minimum of five years of relevant senior-level experience. Compensation is competitive and negotiable, ranging from PKR 300,000 to 400,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure components including Virtual Machines, Availability Sets, VM Scale Sets, Azure SQL databases, and hybrid environments integrating On-Premises Active Directory with Azure.
- Configure and maintain Azure networking elements such as Virtual Networks (VNet), Network Security Groups (NSG), Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Network Gateways.
- Oversee Azure Storage Accounts, Recovery Services Vaults, Azure Backup solutions, and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
- Design and administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, managing Host Pools, Session Hosts, Application Groups, scaling policies, and FSLogix profile containers.
- Execute server and workload migrations from On-Premises to Azure, including SQL database migrations, mailbox migrations, and file server migrations.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
- Configure and manage security tools including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft 365 Defender, Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Identity Protection.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure environments to maintain high performance, ensure security compliance, and manage cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Over five years of professional experience working with Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure design and implementation of cloud security frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and modern device management strategies.
- Proven track record in enterprise cloud security and compliance initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in scripting, with PowerShell being highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices and cloud governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
