IHB Digital is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their team in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building a secure, scalable, and high-performance API layer using .NET 10 and Clean Architecture principles. This system supports multi-tenant financial and insurance workflows, incorporating role-based access control, full auditability, and regulatory compliance from the outset. The role requires hands-on development of RESTful APIs, integration with various third-party services, and ensuring robust security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.
- Implement Clean Architecture across Core, Infrastructure, and API layers.
- Build secure authentication mechanisms using ASP.NET Core Identity and JWT Bearer Tokens.
- Develop Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with granular permission settings.
- Create multi-tenant architecture with organization-based data isolation.
- Integrate PostgreSQL databases using Entity Framework Core.
- Develop business logic for policy issuance, premium calculations, and claims processing.
- Implement audit logging and activity tracking to ensure full traceability.
- Integrate third-party communication services such as SMS gateways (Jazz, Telenor), WhatsApp APIs, and email platforms (SendGrid, SES).
- Apply API security best practices including input validation, data encryption, and rate limiting.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Document APIs thoroughly using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, particularly ASP.NET Core.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core 8 or higher.
- Hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of JWT authentication, RBAC systems, and API security best practices.
- Familiarity with Clean Architecture or Onion Architecture design patterns.
- Knowledge of REST API design standards and best practices.
- Experience using Git for version control.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working in fintech, insurance, or banking systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of multi-tenant system design and implementation.
- Familiarity with background job frameworks such as Hangfire or Quartz.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and cloud deployment environments.
- Knowledge of audit and compliance systems relevant to financial services.
