Reporting to the PMO Manager and based in Jebel Ali, Dubai, this role seeks a Senior BI Analyst / Multi-System Integration Specialist to lead the end-to-end data and reporting architecture for Specialist Services. The position goes beyond traditional dashboard creation, requiring the design and management of data pipelines, models, and governance frameworks that integrate multiple enterprise systems such as D365 Finance & Operations, SharePoint/Power Platform, and various project-level data sources. The goal is to establish a unified, reliable reporting layer that supports executive, project, and manufacturing dashboards with high accuracy and insight.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Integration
- Design and manage the data integration framework connecting D365 F&O, Dataverse, SharePoint, and other operational systems into Power BI. Select appropriate methods such as native connectors, Data Export Service, Azure SQL, Synapse Link, or Power Automate based on use case requirements.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable star schema data models that serve as the single source of truth across corporate, project, and manufacturing reports.
- Implement and enforce data governance standards including naming conventions, refresh schedules, version control, row-level security, and comprehensive documentation.
- Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues at the source system level by collaborating with IT and ERP teams, avoiding downstream data patching.
Dashboard & Analytics Delivery
- Design and deliver advanced, innovative dashboards tailored for executive reporting, project controls (including Earned Value Management, schedule, and cost), and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Provide expert advice to leadership on visualization strategies that best suit different audiences and decision-making contexts, extending beyond standard chart types.
- Create complex DAX measures and Power Query transformations to enable dynamic, multi-dimensional reporting capabilities.
- Own the technical roadmap for the PMO’s reporting suite, ensuring scalability and alignment across divisions.
Stakeholder & Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between the PMO, IT/ERP teams, and business stakeholders on all data and reporting matters.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements from senior leadership into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Mentor junior analysts and establish best-practice standards within the broader reporting function.
- Provide strategic input on Power Platform licensing, Dataverse provisioning, and infrastructure decisions impacting reporting capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Business Intelligence or data analytics roles, with at least 3 years specializing in advanced Power BI development.
- Proven expertise integrating Power BI with ERP systems, preferably D365 F&O, using tools such as Data Export Service, Synapse Link, or Dataverse virtual tables.
- Expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Azure data services including Azure SQL and Synapse.
- Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive data architectures that integrate multiple source systems rather than working with isolated datasets.
- Skilled in data cleansing and root-cause analysis across diverse data sources.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and translating technical concepts into business language.
- Microsoft Power BI certification is mandatory; Azure Data Fundamentals or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within EPC, industrial, manufacturing, or project-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse architecture.
- Understanding of project controls methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and milestone tracking.
- Experience configuring Conditional Access and troubleshooting authentication issues for enterprise data connections.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the data and reporting landscape for a dynamic, multi-system environment, delivering high-impact insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.
