Riphah International University is seeking a skilled Senior Biomedical Engineer specializing in Medical Device Development to join their team in Rawalpindi. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and rigorously test biomedical devices and systems that address clinical needs and improve healthcare delivery.
- Utilize biomechanical modeling software to simulate human body mechanics and predict device performance.
- Lead and manage a team of three biomedical engineers, providing mentorship, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, researchers, and engineers to translate clinical requirements into engineering solutions.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to validate and optimize biomedical equipment designs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulatory guidelines throughout the product development lifecycle.

- Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress and findings to stakeholders.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of biomedical instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication within project teams to align goals and streamline development processes.
- Identify potential risks in biomedical designs and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, enhancing product safety and effectiveness.
- Support grant writing and funding proposals by providing technical expertise and assessing project feasibility.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least two years of professional experience in biomedical device development or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of biomechanics and experience with biomechanical modeling software.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to biomedical devices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly.
