We are seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Engineer with at least 10 years of professional experience in electrical construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all electrical works on site, ensuring that execution meets tender specifications and project requirements. This role demands a hands-on approach to supervising quality workmanship and adherence to timelines within complex construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and testing reports.
- Ensure all electrical works align with relevant standards, codes, and local authority regulations.
- Collaborate closely with MEP teams for effective coordination of electrical systems including LV power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, ELV systems, fire alarms, and containment.
- Monitor quality control and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support tender evaluation processes and contribute to technical documentation as required.
- Participate in factory testing of switchgear and oversee generator synchronization execution when applicable.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably on large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of LV power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, ELV systems, fire alarm systems, containment, and MEP coordination.
- Proven experience in reviewing technical documents such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and testing reports.
- Solid understanding of international and local standards including IEC, BS, NFPA, and local authority regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information:
- Experience working on high-rise buildings, hospitals, hotels, malls, residential towers, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
- International work experience is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication and reporting.
- The position is full-time and based on-site.
