Senior Conversational AI Designer

We are seeking a Senior Designer, Conversational AI, to create intuitive and human-centered AI experiences across both chat and voice platforms. In this role, you will work closely with product and engineering teams to enhance conversational flows, refine large language model (LLM) responses, and deliver seamless user interactions. Your expertise will help shape engaging dialogue strategies that meet user needs while maintaining brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities
- Design multi-turn conversational flows, including dialogue strategies and error recovery mechanisms.
- Develop and optimize prompts to enhance LLM response quality and overall AI behavior.
- Create integrated experiences that combine voice, text, and visual elements.
- Analyze conversation data to identify opportunities for improving user experience and system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on natural language understanding (NLU) curation and the implementation of conversational AI solutions.
- Ensure AI interactions are accessible, inclusive, and transparent to all users.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience designing complex chat or voice experiences, or working within writing or digital product teams.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience specifically designing conversational AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of large language models, bot platforms, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Proven ability to develop dialogue flows that align with brand voice and effectively address user needs.
- Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A digital portfolio demonstrating relevant conversational AI or dialogue design projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AI personas and scalable conversational design frameworks.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of ethical AI practices, accessibility standards, and plain-language principles.
- Experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry is an advantage.
