SENIOR COSMETICS CHEMIST

COLOR STUDIO Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cosmetics and Skincare Chemist with a minimum of five years’ experience in developing innovative and high-performance formulations within color cosmetics and skincare. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry from a reputable university and a proven ability to independently formulate, develop, and successfully launch cosmetic and skincare products. This role demands expertise in transforming concepts into stable, commercial-ready products while ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and development initiatives to create cutting-edge cosmetic and skincare formulations.
- Conduct supplier qualification and oversee the scale-up process to ensure product excellence and safety.
- Apply deep knowledge of emulsion and surfactant chemistry to develop stable and effective formulations.
- Perform stability and compatibility testing alongside safety assessments to meet market and regulatory requirements.
- Formulate products adhering to sound scientific principles and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation supporting product claims and regulatory submissions.
- Work independently without direct team management responsibilities, driving innovation and quality in product development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry or a related field from a recognized university.
- At least five years of experience in cosmetics formulation, particularly in color cosmetics and skincare products.
- Proven track record of independently developing and launching successful cosmetic and skincare products.
- Strong expertise in emulsion and surfactant chemistry, stability testing, and safety evaluation.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems relevant to cosmetics manufacturing.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with supplier qualification and scale-up processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and technical documentation preparation.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 80,000 to Rs 120,000.
- Work location is in person, providing hands-on involvement in product development activities.
