Senior CRM Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend/CRM Developer to join our team and take ownership of designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining web-based CRM systems and business applications. This role focuses on hands-on backend development primarily using PHP/Laravel and Node.js, along with database management, API integrations, automation, and ensuring smooth deployment and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and handle advanced development tasks within custom CRM environments.

Key Responsibilities

CRM & Backend Development
Design, develop, and maintain custom CRM applications and backend systems. Create custom modules, features, workflows, dashboards, reports, and business logic tailored to organizational needs. Develop backend services mainly using PHP/Laravel and Node.js, ensuring code is clean, reusable, secure, and scalable. Continuously enhance CRM functionality, performance, and reliability.

API Integrations & Automation
Build and maintain REST API integrations with third-party services and business systems. Manage webhooks, API authentication, JSON data handling, and external service connections. Integrate CRM platforms with websites, payment gateways, email services, communication tools, and other business applications. Develop automated workflows for lead management, customer communication, notifications, and internal processes. Troubleshoot API failures, synchronization issues, and data inconsistencies.

Database & Data Management
Design and optimize relational database structures for CRM and business applications using MySQL. Write efficient SQL queries, optimize indexes, and improve application performance. Manage data migrations, imports, validation, cleansing, and synchronization. Implement secure data access controls and ensure the safe handling of sensitive business data.

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Identify and resolve application bugs, backend errors, integration failures, and production issues promptly. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements. Perform upgrades, refactoring, and technical enhancements. Work with Linux-based hosting and server environments, troubleshooting deployment-related challenges. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and adhere to development standards.

Deployment, Git & Development Practices
Utilize Git for source control and follow structured development and deployment workflows. Manage development and production environments, supporting deployment pipelines. Conduct debugging and testing before handing over to QA. Participate in code reviews to maintain high development quality. Adhere to secure coding, versioning, backup, and deployment best practices.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership
Work closely with management, project teams, testers, and developers to understand and deliver CRM requirements. Break down business needs into technical tasks and implementation plans. Review code to ensure consistent standards across the team. Mentor junior developers and share technical expertise. Take full ownership of assigned development tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

- Extensive professional experience in backend and web application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise with PHP and Laravel frameworks.
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
- Deep knowledge of MySQL and relational database design.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and third-party integrations.
- Experience with authentication methods such as OAuth, API keys, tokens, and session-based authentication.
- Strong skills in Git and version control systems.
- Proven ability to debug, test, and troubleshoot backend applications.
- Familiarity with MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
- Experience working in Linux/server environments and basic deployment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience developing or maintaining CRM, ERP, SaaS, or other business management applications.
- Knowledge of Laravel queues, jobs, scheduled tasks, events, notifications, and background processing.
- Familiarity with Redis or similar caching and queue technologies.
- Experience with Docker or comparable development and deployment tools.
- Understanding of Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, SSL, DNS, and production web hosting environments.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, email platforms, SMS/WhatsApp services, telephony systems, or other business APIs.
- Exposure to cloud hosting or VPS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of six years of professional backend/web development experience.
- Experience collaborating with international clients or distributed software teams.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
