Senior CRM Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend/CRM Developer to design, develop, customize, integrate, and maintain web-based CRM systems and business applications. This role demands hands-on backend development expertise primarily using PHP/Laravel and Node.js, along with database management, API integrations, automation, and ensuring reliable deployment and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on custom CRM solutions rather than configuring off-the-shelf products, capable of translating business requirements into scalable backend systems, integrating third-party services, troubleshooting production issues, and taking full ownership of complex development tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, customize, and maintain custom CRM applications and backend systems, including building modules, features, workflows, dashboards, reports, and business logic.
- Develop and maintain backend services using PHP/Laravel and Node.js, ensuring clean, reusable, secure, and scalable code.
- Translate business requirements into practical and maintainable technical solutions while improving existing CRM functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain REST API integrations with third-party services, handling webhooks, API authentication, JSON, and external service connections.
- Integrate CRM systems with websites, payment gateways, email services, communication platforms, and other business tools.
- Build automated workflows for lead management, customer communication, notifications, follow-ups, and internal processes.
- Troubleshoot API failures, synchronization issues, authentication problems, and data inconsistencies.
- Design and maintain relational database structures, primarily using MySQL, optimizing queries, indexes, and overall application performance.
- Manage data migrations, imports, validation, cleansing, synchronization, and implement secure data access controls.
- Investigate and resolve application bugs, backend errors, integration failures, and production issues.
- Monitor application performance, perform upgrades, maintenance, refactoring, and technical improvements.
- Work with Linux-based hosting/server environments, troubleshoot deployment issues, and maintain technical documentation.
- Use Git for source control, follow structured development and deployment workflows, debug and test changes, and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with management, project teams, testers, and developers to understand and deliver CRM requirements.
- Break down business requirements into technical tasks and implementation plans, review code, maintain development standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

- Strong professional experience in backend and web application development.
- Proficiency in PHP and Laravel, with solid experience in Node.js and JavaScript.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL and relational database design.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and third-party integrations.
- Experience with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API keys, tokens, and session-based authentication.
- Proficient in Git and version control systems.
- Skilled in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting backend applications.
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
- Experience working with Linux/server environments and basic deployment concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- Experience building or maintaining CRM, ERP, SaaS, or other business management applications.
- Familiarity with Laravel queues, jobs, scheduled tasks, events, notifications, and background processing.
- Experience with Redis or similar caching and queue technologies.
- Knowledge of Docker or other development and deployment tools.
- Experience with Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, SSL, DNS, and production web hosting environments.
- Integration experience with payment gateways, email platforms, SMS/WhatsApp services, telephony systems, or other business APIs.
- Experience working with cloud hosting or VPS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional backend/web development experience.
- Experience collaborating with international clients or software development teams.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
