The Senior Customer Service Officer plays a vital role in supporting Avery Dennison’s customers by providing accurate and timely information to resolve inquiries, requests, and complaints. This position requires close collaboration with departments such as sales, order entry, finance, and operations to manage customer accounts effectively, ensure issue resolution, and contribute to overall departmental performance and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with sales, production, and other functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests through various communication channels.
- Manage customer complaints in line with company procedures and service standards.
- Maintain communication with customers and vendors regarding order developments and updates.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Supervisor to keep customer profile information current.
- Use standardized forms and maintain records according to ISO procedures.
- Acknowledge new customer orders via email and escalate missing information to the Central Order Desk.
- Verify customer order details and follow up to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with Global Product Development (GPD) for new item setups and with finance for new customer account setups.
- Release verified data into the system, send layouts for customer approval, share Proforma Invoices, provide daily dispatch updates, and track open order statuses.
- Assist in root-cause investigations related to Customer Care Requests (CCR).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 to 5 years of experience managing corporate customers, preferably within the export industry.
- Proven track record in customer relations, working across business units and geographical regions within a publicly traded company.
- Strong active listening skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High levels of empathy, patience, responsiveness, and emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated integrity and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Google productivity tools.
- Effective decision-making, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
