Meezan Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join its Data Analytics – Finance Department at the Head Office in Karachi. Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture, architectural standards, and target-state data architecture across multiple environments including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, enterprise integration platforms, and analytical/reporting platforms.
- Lead big data transformation and data modernization initiatives, including legacy platform migration, scalable ETL/ELT processes, enterprise data integration, architecture modernization, and automation.
- Ensure strong performance and reliability of IBM Db2/Db2W database environments supporting large datasets and enterprise workloads.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, compliance with regulatory requirements, and operational reliability.
- Provide technical leadership by managing and guiding technical teams and vendors, driving technology evaluation, architecture governance, automation, cost optimization, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data platforms and processes with the bank’s long-term data strategy and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in data architecture and engineering, with 3 to 5 years of hands-on expertise in IBM Db2/Db2W.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong background in large-scale data transformation, modernization, legacy system migration, and enterprise data platform management.
- Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred due to the critical nature of data security, governance, compliance, and reporting in this industry.
- Demonstrated skills in performance optimization, architecture governance, and automation within complex data environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
