Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Commerce and Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) solutions. This role involves defining end-to-end architecture, ensuring seamless integration between Adobe Commerce (Magento) and various enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payment gateways, inventory systems, and fulfillment platforms. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and drive architecture governance to meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Define comprehensive architecture for Commerce and ESL solutions, focusing on scalability, availability, resilience, security, and performance.
- Design and implement integrations between Adobe Commerce (Magento) and enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payment gateways, inventory, and fulfillment platforms.
- Establish API, microservices, messaging, and event-driven integration architectures to support robust and flexible solutions.
- Develop and enforce architecture standards covering API security, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, observability, and performance management.
- Lead architecture governance efforts to ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to commerce, integration, backend, frontend, and platform engineering teams.
- Review technical designs, recommend architectural improvements, and promote best practices across projects.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints, and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable architecture solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, integration specifications, API standards, and other technical documentation.
- Support platform modernization initiatives, including headless commerce, composable architecture, and cloud-native solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Data Architect with a strong focus on Digital Commerce and Enterprise Integration solutions.
- Proven expertise in Adobe Commerce (Magento) architecture, including platform design, governance, integrations, and scalability planning.
- Deep understanding of Digital Commerce and eCommerce architecture principles and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience in defining and implementing security standards for APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and drive architectural decisions in complex environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Skilled in creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation and architectural artifacts.
