We are seeking an experienced Data Architect and Engineer to join our Data Analytics team within the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in data architecture, engineering, and modernization, particularly with IBM Db2 Warehouse and large-scale data transformation projects. This role requires a strong background in banking or financial services, with proven leadership capabilities in managing technical teams and vendor relationships. The successful candidate will play a critical role in defining enterprise data standards, driving data governance, and ensuring the security and reliability of analytical platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture, standards, and target-state architecture across data warehouses, lakes/lakehouses, and integration platforms.
- Lead Big Data transformation initiatives, data modernization efforts, legacy system migrations, and scalable ETL/ELT projects.
- Ensure optimal performance of IBM Db2 Warehouse (Db2W) environments, maintaining data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Oversee data quality and reliability for analytical and reporting platforms within the organization.
- Lead and mentor technical teams and manage vendor partnerships, driving technology evaluation, architecture governance, automation, cost optimization, and operational resilience.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8 to 12 years of professional experience in data architecture and engineering, including 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Db2/Db2 Warehouse.
- Strong expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL.
- Experience working with Big Data technologies, data lakes/lakehouses, and comprehensive data engineering practices.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, security protocols, privacy considerations, and banking data regulations.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
