We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with extensive experience in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and enterprise data integration to join our Finance Department’s Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IBM DataStage, DB2W, Big SQL, and related technologies, along with a proven ability to design and implement complex batch and real-time data pipelines. This role demands collaboration with multiple stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance, and governed data solutions that support critical business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex ETL/ELT workflows, batch and real-time data pipelines, and enterprise data integration projects using IBM DataStage, DB2W, Big SQL, Cognos, and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate closely with Data Modelers, Architects, Business Intelligence, and Governance teams to ensure data solutions are scalable, agile, and compliant with governance standards.
- Establish and enforce data quality controls, including validation frameworks, source-to-target reconciliation, balancing checks, and exception handling mechanisms.
- Implement automated monitoring systems to maintain data integrity across critical pipelines, ensuring timely detection and resolution of data issues.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering from an HEC-recognized institute or university.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and enterprise integration.
- Hands-on expertise with IBM DataStage, DB2W, Big SQL, and proficiency in SQL.
- Strong knowledge of batch and real-time data processing, complex data transformations, CDC/incremental data processing, API and file-based integrations, streaming technologies, and distributed processing frameworks.
- Experience with data quality management, including profiling, validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and control checks.
- Familiarity with data lineage, data governance principles, Change Data Capture (CDC), APIs, streaming architectures, and lakehouse data architectures.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Benefits:
- Qualification or certification in Islamic Finance is considered an advantage and will enhance the candidate’s suitability for the role.
