Senior DevOps and Support Engineer

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Senior DevOps and Support Engineer based in Islamabad, Pakistan, to join our team. This role involves managing and scaling the Maktab platform hosted on AWS, ensuring the reliability and security of production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling infrastructure monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and incident management. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-support workflows tailored for a college platform. This position operates on a morning shift schedule and offers a competitive salary range.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and scale the Maktab platform on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage production infrastructure with a focus on security, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Implement and oversee backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime.
- Handle incident management effectively, including troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain user-support workflows to enhance the experience of the college platform users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure and support processes with organizational goals.
- Continuously improve system reliability and operational efficiency through automation and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, infrastructure management, and technical support.
- Proven expertise in managing AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, monitoring tools, and backup solutions.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and incident response.
- Ability to design and implement user-support workflows and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
