We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer based in India to join a dynamic and collaborative technology environment. In this role, you will partner closely with IT, development teams, and other stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support internal and external business applications. Your focus will be on enhancing deployment reliability, automation, high availability, and strengthening the technical capabilities of the team through modern DevOps and cloud practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and application environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage and support version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to support applications and promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
- Maintain enterprise server environments and application infrastructure to guarantee operational continuity.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment dependability and reduce manual interventions through automation.
- Automate repetitive processes to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
- Support code releases into highly available application environments using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Develop and maintain high-availability solutions, including load balancer configurations such as HAProxy.
- Work with teams to resolve deployment, infrastructure, and operational challenges, participating in 24x7 coverage including occasional after-hours and on-call support.
- Manage cloud environments across AWS and Azure, supporting microservices architectures with technologies like Kubernetes and service discovery.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Support Linux environments with a focus on system hardening and security.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring team members, sharing knowledge, and improving team practices, automation standards, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 7–10 years of relevant work experience in enterprise server and infrastructure management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing servers and supporting code releases in highly available application environments.
- At least 2 years of experience with server configuration management tools.
- Strong expertise with Ansible and Terraform for automation and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with continuous deployment technologies such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Proficient understanding of Git and code versioning systems.
- Hands-on experience with load balancing technologies like HAProxy.
- Knowledge of JSON/REST APIs.
- Experience working with microservices, Kubernetes, and service discovery mechanisms.
- Solid understanding of Linux OS hardening and security best practices.
- Experience managing cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
