We are seeking an experienced embedded software engineer with a strong background in computer architecture and system-level programming. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with embedded systems and a deep understanding of CPU architectures, particularly RISC-V. This role requires a hands-on approach to developing and optimizing software for real-time operating systems or embedded Linux environments, with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code. The position is based on-site and offers an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain embedded software with a focus on system-level components such as device boot processes, program linking and loading, interrupt handling, virtual memory management, caches, buses, and communication protocols.
- Write efficient and reliable code primarily in C/C++, with assembly language programming as an added advantage.
- Work on software development for RTOS or embedded Linux platforms, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Engage in hands-on development and testing using embedded hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino, ARM Cortex-M, or RISC-V boards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members from various disciplines and locations, contributing to design discussions and documentation.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies to improve product performance and development processes.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and documentation to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on embedded software development, operating systems, or computer architecture.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in embedded software engineering.
- Strong knowledge of RISC-V architectures and CPU/system-level concepts.
- Proficiency in programming with C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language.
- Solid understanding of system components including device boot, interrupt handling, virtual memory, caches, buses, and protocols.
- Experience developing software for RTOS or embedded Linux environments.
- Practical experience working with embedded systems such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino, ARM Cortex-M, or RISC-V boards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Knowledge of Python programming is desirable.
- Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch, or TinyML is a plus.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
- Market-competitive salary with biannual increments and performance bonuses.
- Comprehensive health insurance covering both outpatient and inpatient care.
- Gym allowance and opportunities for recreational activities.
- Annual leave encashment to support work-life balance.

This role requires an individual who takes pride in producing high-quality code and thorough documentation while embracing teamwork and innovation. If you are passionate about embedded systems and eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects, we encourage you to apply. The position is based in person, providing a collaborative environment to grow your skills and career.
