Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is seeking a Senior Engineer (Full Stack) to join their product development team in Hyderabad, India. This full-time role involves designing and developing both backend and frontend modules in alignment with Carrier’s software development standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on AWS IoT and cloud-based applications, contributing to innovative solutions that impact people and the planet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AWS IoT and cloud-based applications using Typescript, Node.js, and ReactJS.
- Collaborate closely with onsite and offshore teams, including product management, frontend developers, and SQA teams, to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Work with solutions architects on low-level design and contribute to sprint planning and delegation within the development team.
- Identify risks early in the development lifecycle and create proof of concepts (POCs) to mitigate them.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers when needed.
- Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards.
- Engage in PI planning sessions, addressing technical challenges related to implementing Epics and Stories.
- Monitor non-functional requirements (NFRs) to ensure compliance with Carrier’s standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 7 years of overall experience in software development.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, and ReactJS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and processes.
- Skilled in developing APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS IoT Core and other AWS cloud-native services such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Timestream, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure creation using serverless frameworks or AWS CDK.
- Experience implementing alerts and monitoring systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Familiarity with Jest framework for unit and integration testing.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and securing AWS services.
