The Senior Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the group’s diverse brand portfolio. This position is responsible for robust financial planning, insightful commercial analysis, budgeting, and providing strategic decision support. Acting as a key business partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Business Development teams, the Senior Finance Manager directly influences margin growth, operational profitability, and scalable expansion across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the annual budgeting process and manage quarterly rolling forecasts. Develop and present weekly and monthly executive performance dashboards. Conduct detailed reviews of unit-level profit and loss statements, EBITDA drivers, and operational cash flows. Identify financial risks early and implement targeted corrective actions.
Commercial Finance & Margin Optimization: Analyze sales mix, menu engineering, product pricing, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Evaluate the impact of marketing promotions, discounts, and third-party delivery channels on net margins. Develop and execute commercial strategies aimed at improving gross margins and increasing average ticket size.
Strategic Business Development: Build detailed feasibility models for new store openings and franchise expansions. Conduct capital allocation analyses including ROI, IRR, and payback period assessments. Support lease negotiations and site-selection decisions with thorough analytical insights.
Performance Management: Define operational and financial KPIs for all brand locations. Lead monthly operational performance reviews in collaboration with restaurant leadership. Monitor budget versus actual variances and ensure accountability through effective remediation plans.
Liquidity & Working Capital Management: Maintain accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts. Optimize working capital cycles and reduce excess inventory holdings. Oversee accounts receivable and payable aging schedules and track capital expenditure disbursements against approved plans.
Systems, Controls & Data Governance: Utilize and enhance ERP systems, particularly Odoo, to improve reporting efficiency. Strengthen internal financial controls and standardize operating procedures across the group. Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and consistency in financial reporting.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop finance and accounting team members. Foster a performance-driven culture centered on rigorous analytics and continuous process improvement. Represent the CFO in operational and strategic matters when required.
Required Qualifications
Credentials: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, ACMA, or an equivalent professional finance certification.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of proven finance experience, preferably within the Hospitality, Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sectors.
Core Competencies: Strong commercial acumen, expertise in corporate financial planning and analysis, and the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships effectively.
Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling capabilities using Excel and practical experience with modern ERP systems, with a preference for proficiency in Odoo.
Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies and to lead high-performing teams successfully.
