The Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial analysis. This position supports the month-end close process, manages revenue, expense, and intercompany accounting, and performs variance analysis and management reporting. The role also focuses on continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and summarize financial data to create sophisticated and structured reports.
- Manage, review, and post revenue and expense entries into the financial system.
- Execute intercompany adjustment schedules and post entries to the respective entities within NetSuite.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the monthly financial package and segmented cost analysis.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, and communicate findings effectively to management.
- Drive initiatives for process improvement and policy development that impact the finance function.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in account finalization and financial analysis.
- Credentials related to accounting or financial reporting are required.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- High attention to detail and effective communication skills.
