The Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in managing financial reporting, accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial analysis. This position supports the month-end close process, including revenue, expense, and intercompany accounting. The role also involves conducting variance analysis, preparing management reports, and driving continuous improvements in financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and summarize financial data to create detailed and sophisticated reports.
- Manage, review, and post revenue and expense entries into the financial system accurately.
- Execute intercompany adjustment schedules and post entries to the respective entities within NetSuite.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the monthly financial package and segmented cost analysis.
- Conduct thorough variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, and communicate key findings to management.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes and develop policies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or relevant professional certification, is preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in account finalization and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling techniques.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills to clearly present financial information.
