Senior Frontend Developer (Next.js & TypeScript)

PayOn is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with extensive professional experience in Next.js to join our dynamic and expanding team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Next.js and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-quality web applications that serve our fast-growing SaaS platform, which supports restaurants, hotels, and cafés. Our platform encompasses restaurant operations, POS systems, payment processing, and fintech workflows. We value developers who can efficiently navigate existing codebases, contribute to a large-scale product, and write clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend features using Next.js, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces that perform well across devices.
- Integrate REST APIs and collaborate closely with backend developers to deliver seamless functionality.
- Continuously improve frontend architecture and optimize application performance.
- Debug and resolve frontend issues promptly to maintain a smooth user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices.
- Work collaboratively with designers, backend developers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality products.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the product and its frontend infrastructure.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience with Next.js.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React.js, and REST API integration.
- Experience deploying and scaling applications on DigitalOcean cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in responsive UI development and debugging across multiple devices and browsers.
- Ability to understand, maintain, and improve existing complex codebases.
- Proficient with Git version control and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
- Good command of English for effective communication within the team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with WebSockets or real-time application development is a plus.
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
- Prior experience working on SaaS or fintech products is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques will be advantageous.

PayOn operates in a fully remote, virtual office environment designed to foster collaboration, accountability, and productivity. During working hours, screen sharing is mandatory to facilitate teamwork, troubleshooting, and discussions. Candidates should be comfortable working within this collaborative virtual setting.
